WE ARE THE JARDIN PORTLAND FOUNDATION – Engaging Nature in Cities
We love nature. And we love cities. At Jardin Portland Foundation, we believe livability is about not having to choose between the two. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to reimagining our relationship with urban open space. Open spaces are vital to our cities. They connect us to nature and each other. They provide environmental services that improve our air, treat our water, and regulate our micro-climate. They are the public sphere, where community takes shape. Open spaces make our cities livable.
And we are only beginning to understand just how much. At JPF, it is our passion to connect communities and share knowledge across disciplines to deepen our understanding for the ways we can benefit from the open spaces of our cities. Check us out and support our cause to make the cities you love more livable!
Open spaces make cities livable by introducing the beauty of nature and art as well as providing spaces for commerce and cultural events to take place regionally, nationally and internationally.
Open spaces offer endless possibilities for research and for linking multiple information sources to empower regional management of scattered resources.
Whether new to Portland, here your whole life, or just visiting, you too can help our mission. Make a tax-deductible donation, volunteer your talents, share your vision, or partner with us. JPF is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
